Each caplet is made through a mix of processes; all the wool is lovingly hand dyed and washed and dried, then the wet felting begins. Once all elements are wet felted the item is soak washed and dried. Finished with needle felting to ensure all the locks are secure to the wrap. No two caplets will ever be the same, each totally unique.
Although each item goes through two or three washes please note that there may be some residual dye run off if washed.
Washing Instructions:
Wool is naturally water resistant due to its lanolin content, the more it is washed the less lanolin will be present.
Depending on the type of wash needed- a quick water spray in areas needed should be sufficient, however if you wish to wash fully this should be done by soaking in soapy water (I use Woolite), with a repeat soak in clear water. Soak for 10-15 minutes and lay flat to dry. Do not scrub- any friction will cause felting and will damage the appearance of the caplet.
